Another release from the "Koi no Uta" series. This time's theme is "missing you yet unable to see you" (Aitakute means "I miss you") - laugh and cry then love again. :) This series will forever be one of my favourite ways of discovering a variety of songs I otherwise wouldn't keep track of. OMG Miliyah's best album is so epically long, it takes me forever to listen to it and she has few songs under 4mins. XD I never really followed her music so this is all pretty much new to me. The first half of the first disc reminded me very much of Utada Hikaru's earlier R&B style, iunno... Then things became more to my taste and OMG I fell in ( Read more... )

I was a bit nervous as to whether I'd like Juju's new album or not because I can't really handle anything that gets jazzy. Luckily for me, she didn't venture in that direction, so we're left with a gorgeous album of mostly mid-tempo ballads with an R&B touch. The songs are all so beautiful but definitely not a total bore for those who aren't keen ( Read more... )

I probably like this album more than the last. All the tracks are very pretty in that Nishino Kana way, but individual tracks are rather forgettable in the short term unless I really really listen to this album. Hearing Replay in another language is too weird... the Japanese lyrics don't really give the song the same oomph. Seeing a new music video after the 2008 release is also kind of surreal. The choreography is forever awesome so as long as that stays, it can't go wrong. :) The last two tracks on the single are the Korean versions. Um. Girls' ( Read more... )

Nakata Yasutaka is one of my biggest music crushes because everything he touches is epic. One of the things I've come to appreciate is that even though his music range is entirely electronica, the style of his electronica music changes SOOO MUCH and is SO DIVERSE.
